Winter Window Card with CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge

I've been watching CNN all day to see what happens with Hurricane Irene. Since I work in emergency preparedness it has been fascinating to see what the east coast is doing to get ready. Thankfully it has not been as bad as predicted, so far. Be safe everyone in Irene's path!

So while I was glued to the tv, I decided to try making a window card with the Cricut cartridge. I cut out the card base twice, in white and patterned paper and then used the front of the patterned paper to frame the window. Here are the results. I think it turned out cute and I'll be using this template again.

"Enjoy" Scrapbook Page Pops with Flowers: Project Inspiration Autumn/Win...

Every time I watch one of the videos produced by CTMH it makes me want to ditch my housework and chores and just...... make something! Anything! Maybe that is why they call these Project Inspiration, hmmmm.

This video from CTMH shows you how to use flowers cut with the Art Philosophy cartridge and the coordinating D1491 Hooray Bouguet stamp set to create a floral centerpiece on your layouts or cards.

CTMH Wonderland Paper Packet

I guess this card is wishful thinking. We never get enough snow to make a real full-size snowman here in California. Now, where I grew up back in Indiana it was a different story. We lived just blocks away from Lake Michigan and winters were cold, windy and snowy. As kids we would build snow igloos right in our front yard. I don't think that weather would be quite as enjoyable now that I am old.....er.

Fall Card with CTMH Cricut Cartridge

Last night it was so nice and cool after the sun went down and we opened all the windows. Got me thinking about Fall, my favorite season. So, I decided to make a Fall card. I used our new Cricut cartridge to cut the basic shape of the card, so easy once I figured out the size and saved the template in DesignStudio for future cuts. And then I tried one of the images from our new stamp set D1490 Backdrop-Charmed. Loved the results. This set also has a Halloween backdrop that I can't wait to try. This card ended up being all cardstock and stamping, no patterned paper. Love it!

The Squeeze Inn Experience

Took the girls to try this burger after seeing it on FoodNetwork's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was every bit as good and cheesy as they claimed. And yes that is a fried cheese "skirt" surrounding the burger. Yum!
